update

Well hello!

Was waiting to hear on a few things before a big update. Some good news and some not.

I was up for the role in a tv series that shoots in Toronto. It was about a woman detective in the Toronto Police Department. True story. Real woman. Cool role. Next step was to fly out to Toronto to test, but alas, i didn't make it that far. Ah well. What are you going to do.

The other role i am still waiting to hear about. Great part in a feature film. Not details yet as i am superstitious but i am still a serious contender. I'll tell you more when i know how that is going to play out.

Had an episode of V coming up but they have written me out in this episode. They've done it before. They end up with too much script and have to shorten it. Because i am not a key character, i get the shaft first. I'll be back. Im not too worried about it.

A Christmas movie in the works but too early to tell you much about that.

Other than that, there really hasn't been much going on. Slowest summer for film work in Vancouver in eons. I feel bad for the actors who have families to support.....this has been a very trying time for this profession. They are hoping it turns around in the fall. Really can't freak out too much about it. There is nothing we can do. This is why i am getting my Psychology degree. Want to have another go-to career if things ever go the way of the do-do bird. If any of you are thinking of becoming actors, PLEASE have a back up plan....get an education...don't put all your eggs in one basket. It can be a total bummer when you are waiting for someone else to decide if you get to work again. Soul sucking, really.

As for SPN, we'll have to wait and see. Dead doesn't mean DEAD in the show...you know that. Would love to go back. Who knows what is going on that writer's room....they're cooking up something i'm sure....just don't know if good ole Ellen as a ghost or an angel or a ??? is going to be a part of it. I'd like to think she would.

The summer's been great! Went to a slew of conventions: Australia, Spain and Germany. All fantastic. Thanks everybody for coming out and seeing us. Means a lot. I have The Roadhouse convention in Birmingham coming up in September. Wow! That is only a couple weeks away. Amazing how the summer has flown. I'll get to hang with Chad and see Rob.....great guy. He was in Australia. Chad's my buddy, my pal. Wish i got to see him more often. Got to spend some time with him and his girlfriend in Germany. Good times! Spain was really beautiful. Unlike the other cons, i had time to get out and see the city of Barcelona. Magical city. Vancouver is so new so it is lovely to see a place that has such history and depth. I went down to a seaside town called Sitges for some R&R after the convention. Just sat, read, slept and shopped a bit. Really quiet little place which was perfect. My friend Kelli who died on Xmas eve last year loved Spain....she travelled there before she died, so i took a lock of her hair and left it there. I will visit it if i ever go back. A big shout out to all the organizers of the cons. They were wonderful to us and really worked hard to make sure everyone had a good time. Personally, i believe that Creation Ent. is all about the money but i'm happy to report that they are one of the only ones i have come across who work that way. The conventions i have been to in Europe are put together by genuine fans who do their darnedest to make sure the fans are taken care of and have a good time. It's not just about fans meeting the cast of the shows they love, but also giving them an opportunity to meet each other and hang out. I have seen great friendships bloom at cons....it's very touching to watch and be a part of. Very humbling.

Something i found this summer: LOST. Holyjeeesus. It's like drug addiction. You start the thing and you can't stop....even if you want to, you can't put the sucker down. My buddy Joan gave me the first 5 seasons. I thought, why not? Everyone seemed to make a big deal about this show.....give it a whirl. I got hooked. I was like a maniac. I would come home any chance i got to sit in a darkened room and watch as many episodes as i could before bed. Think i got 6 in one day. I am rather confused and have many questions. I have heard that i will still have them at the end of season 6. The final season comes out next week......i will get it, watch it and be done with it. I also, saw the first season of The Wire. Great! I felt a little stupid at times because i didn't get it....had to rewind and replay many times......when i get a chance....i'll go in for season 2. Thinking cap on!

Ok. That is all for me for now. I have a wedding to go to in Victoria tomorrow and i have to pack and get it together here. I'm wiped out so if there are spelling and grammar mistakes here, forgive me.

Hope yer all well. Will not leave it so long. Promise! When/if i book any of these roles, i will let you know.

Love to you.
