Supernatural Season 3

Hi gang, Got word yesterday, and although it is not what we were hoping for, you may see Ellen again. Just not sure when. Sigh. Sometimes i really hate this business. Here is the scoop....the CW is a very young network (ie Smallville) and want their cast to be young and hot....it's their demo. And although i am not repulsive or scaring small children away at the sight of me, let's face it...i ain't Krustin Kruk. So they have decided to bring in two new YOUNG female characters for the boys to play with. An adversary to them and a kick ass demon hunter. Think they want to create some sexual tension on the show. They tried it with Jo, but she ended up being more of a sister figure. That puts Ellen on the backburner. I think she will be off crossing the globe hunting the demons that got out of the gate. No word yet on when i would appear, but I am not scheduled for the first 3-4 episodes. That i know. Love the show and will miss them greatly, but seeing as i don't have a deal with them, i am going to continue to work on other stuff...and if i an workng when SN wants to use me, i may not be available. So we'll just hav to wait and see....but i will keep you updated. I am waiting to hear back on a 13 episode show shooting in Vancouver this summer. No details as i don't want to jinx it. You'll know when i do. Thanks for all the support. It means a lot. Sam
I am very sad with that news. I am a Brazilian fan yours and I don't adjust to that, Ellen is a very important character in the history and still more because she was present when the gate was opened and the demons were freed, I hope sincerely you continue in the serial. A kiss of his Brazilian fan here Expedito... By Expedito Pedro @ 20 Jun 2007 06:25 pm Attractiveness isn't just a matter of appearance, it's also a matter of attitude and I think taking out your frustrations on a show and an actress that you have nothing to do with is pretty ugly. By hannah @ 21 Jun 2007 09:53 pm I love to see you again in Supernatural! It's great to see someone taking care of the two brothers like their own mother. And seriously, I think you are more great than Kristin. Wish you good luck in your career! By ammar @ 21 Jun 2007 10:47 pm Hm. Just one question : did you spell Kristin Kreuk's name wrong on purpose, because if so, it would be really mean. As for people who take the opportunity to just bash KK because of that " joke " or whatever that is, just leave the girl alone ok ? KK has NOTHING to do with Supernatural, so stop it. That's just revolting and you can bash me if you want, I don't care. I'm sure Ellen is a great character, and that's sad to hear that your on-screen time has been reduced because of some guys who apparently do not care about what people think. But as sad as it is, you guys (fans) have NO reason to drag KK into this. So drop it, for everyone's sake. By Louise @ 22 Jun 2007 10:11 am Here's hoping you get a great gig and that we get to see you back on Supernatural as Ellen. I love that part to bits. Ellen should have a bigger part in the boys life. Just my humble opinion. They need a mom. :) I'm rooting for you. Al lthe best wishes flying your way from Denmark. :) By Cathy @ 22 Jun 2007 02:56 pm Hi Samantha! It´s sad to hear that. I´m a brazilian fan of SPN, and I don´t think that its necessary put Ellen away just to bring new female caracters. But the CW people are stupid enough for that, after all, they cancel VM. I wish you good luck on the new show. By Jonas Peres @ 25 Jun 2007 06:10 am Oh no! I'm so, so disappointed to get this bit of news. "Krustin Kruk" was the very reason I gave up Smallville after the 3rd season -- nothing against the actress personally, but the overuse of the only mildly interesting Lana character just got to be too much for this viewer. By contrast, I liked the Ellen character from her introduction. Ellen, as you played the part, was a strong, interesting character -- intense and a little mysterious, really, which I thought was an excellent setup for future storylines. After the part Ellen played in the season finale, I was so sure we were going to see a lot more of her in season three, which I was really looking forward to. There seems to be a serious lack of common sense among network execs. Fans of the show know that the only thing hurting SN is its timeslot and that cheesy, shallow, desperate measures -- such as adding 'young, hot' characters that the show doesn't need (there are attractive, young, female guest stars all the time) may actually hurt the show by alienating its devoted fanbase. Such a shame. I had high hopes that I'd finally found a show that I could stick with for more than two seasons. By Amy @ 26 Jun 2007 09:18 am So sorry that the effing suits had to stick their di*ks in this. That totally pi$$es me off. Your character brought a needed element to the show. Sorry to put it in such terms, because you are probably younger than I am. However, the boys needed a "mother" figure, for lack of a better term, to temper their zeal and lust for the hunt. They could have gone in a suck-ass direction, I think, but Ellen helped to curb that. Lots of luck, they need to bring you back and 86 the Barbie dolls. By Pam @ 16 Jul 2007 10:34 pm Awwww! I love Ellen! I'm a role player and I took on the role of Jo I really hate that there isn't more of Jo/Ellen but can't wait to see Ellen in the new season I can't believe they are just gonna leave Jo like that though what a shame I loved to Jo/Dean tension. But yes I love you as Ellen can't wait to see more :) By LittleRebelJo @ 28 Jul 2007 10:14 am I thought Kripke himself said (for sure) that Ellen would be back? hm. Anyway, I really, sincerely hope you'll be back on SN- the fans are backing you. In fact, I just read a very long rant about the awesomeness of you and Ellen. The network may suck but you have our support as fans. We love you and your character. I think that alone should be enough to guarantee your return. Anyway, thanks for doing blogs- it's neat. I wish you the best and can't wait to see you on Season 3 of SN. By Becky @ 30 Jul 2007 07:07 pm Dang. I hate that networks think that young viewers are only interested in watching "young" characters. That's bunk. Hotness knows no age restrictions! I miss Ellen, and in my mind now, she is off kicking almighty demon butt while the boys are busy doing whatever they're doing on screen. Best of luck with whatever projects come your way!
